Thassos

skala potamia beach thassosThassos according to the story took its name from the son of the Phoenician king Agenor, the Thassos. That searching to find the stolen sister (Europe) by Zeus came to an island where he was captivated by this charismatic place. And thus believed that the Phoenicians were the first inhabitants of the island who began mining gold, iron, marble and timber marketing.

 

The many archaeological findings reveal that the island of Thassos was a large mall era. Over the centuries Thassos if maintained and changed the main attributes unchanged. The blue sea, the green of vast forests, laced beaches and many streams are the trademark of the island.

If you want to continue having fun then you have to visit the capital of the island Skala Potamia, Limena, and of course Limenaria cosmopolitan drink, where you expect different ways of entertainment. Last years the earthly paradise of Thassos island has become the first choice destination for Romanian and Bulgarian tourists
